Step 2: Get Post-Secondary TTC Student Photo ID
Get the ID during the following:

10:00 to 6:00

August 30, 31 and September 1, 2, 3
UC Room 163
15 King's College Circle
10:00 to 6:00

Bring $7.00 (cash only), your Tcard and one other form of ID, plus the confirmation printout from Step 1.

Step 3: Purchase your Metropass
Purchase your $99.00 Post-Secondary Metropass at each month
Starting August 25th

Hours are 10:00-6:00 between the period August 25-August 31

Thereafter, regular office hours each day that the office is open
 
***Please be advised that the VIP Metropass at 7 will be discontinued following the completion of sales on August 31 for students.

TTC Post-Secondary Student Photo ID - Conditions of Use

1. The card can only be used with a Post-Secondary Student Metropass.

2. The card must be shown to TTC employees when using a Post-Secondary Student Metropass, or an Adult Fare is required.

3. The card is only valid if the student is enrolled in a recognized Degree or Diploma program, as determined in accordance with TTC policy, (referred to as "Post-Secondary School"), and the institution is located in the City of Toronto.

4. The card is not transferable. The card remains the property of the TTC and must be surrendered upon request for inspection. It may be confiscated if the holder violates TTC By-law No. 1 or alters the card in any way. The card will not be returned and you may not apply for a new one.

When purchasing your Metropass at U.T.S.U., please ensure your TCard / Library card is valid at the TCard office in Robarts, 2nd Floor. We will not make any exceptions.

Note: Post-Secondary TTC Student ID Cards will be made on September 20, 2010 at U.T.S.U. for those who missed the original period.

U.T.S.U. will also be selling TTC tokens at $12.50 for each batch of 5 tokens, cash or debit.

Eligibility for Post-Secondary Student Metropass
TTC Commissioners received an update on the implementation plan for the introduction of a new pass this September:

The Post-Secondary Student Metropass-

Full-time or part-time post-secondary students, with no age restriction, that are enrolled in a program granting a degree or diploma only as defined in Post-Secondary Education Choice and

Excellence Act, 2000, are eligible to use the new pass.

The Post-Secondary Education Choice and Excellence Act is at http://www.e laws.gov.on.ca/html/statutes/english/elaws_statutes_00p36_e.htm

At subsection (2) the Act defines a degree as, (2) For the purposes of this Act, a degree means one or both of the following:

1. A document of academic achievement granted or conferred by an educational institution that includes terms or nomenclature or any derivation of them that, regardless of the specific academic or professional discipline in which it is awarded, would be reasonably understood as an undergraduate or graduate degree, including, but not limited to, a document including the terms bachelor, bachelor's, baccalaureate, master, master's, doctor, doctoral, doctorate, B.A., B.Comm., B.Sc., B.Ed., M.A., M.B.A., M.Sc., Med.D. or Ph.D.

2. A diploma, certificate, document or other thing that implies or would be reasonably understood as the granting or conferring of a degree, including, without limiting the foregoing, a diploma, certificate, document or other thing that includes a reference to bachelor, bachelor's, baccalaureate, master, master's, doctor, doctoral or doctorate. 2010, c. 12, s. 2 (2).
