General Information
The Book Exchange is a service of the University of Toronto Students' Union (U.T.S.U., formerly the Students' Administrative Council of the University of Toronto). The service was established in 2003 to help undergraduate students make/save money by helping them to buy/sell their used textbooks. The service is wholly owned and operated by the students' union.

Process:
For each book submitted to be sold, U.T.S.U. adds a consignment fee of 15% or $2.00 (whichever is greater) to the asking price. The fee is paid by the purchaser of the book, not the seller, automatically upon purchase. (Sellers need not add the fee to their asking price.)
Note: All books are subject to 5% GST.

Sellers:
- When dropping off books, you must know the course code corresponding to each textbook before submitting it for sale.
- You will be required to complete an Information Form and Agreement, and set up an account.
- Books received will be sold during the Fall Book Exchange period.
-If a book is not purchased, you must pick up your unsold books during the return period as outlined in the policies. Books that are neither sold nor retrieved become the property of the University of Toronto Students' Union.

IMPORTANT
It is the responsibility of the users (sellers and purchasers) of the service to inform themselves of the Book Exchange's complete policies, including specific service locations and schedules, available on this website and elsewhere. Use of the service implies agreement and understanding of the policies. Any questions related to the policies of the Book Exchange should be directed to the management of the University of Toronto Students' Union (U.T.S.U., formerly the Students' Administrative Council of the University of Toronto).
