Campaigns & Advocacy

Your Students' Union is here to work for you. There are many issues that concern us as students, and we want to hear what issues concern YOU the most. Select one of the issues to the left for more information, OR contact one of our Commissions to get involved!

U.T.S.U. Commissions are your chance to get involved with the your students' union. If you want to make a difference, if you have concerns about the student experience at UofT, if you want us to organise an event or campaign or if you just want your voice to be heard, become part of a Commission.

Membership is open to all full-time undergraduate students!

    Social Justice and Equity
This Commission advocates on issues of ableism, ageism, racism, sexism, queerphobia, transphobia, islamophobia, classism, and eurocentrism; advocates for the rights of marginalized members of our community; and ensures the University addresses discrimination and oppression in their overt, subvert, systemtemic and individual forms.

    Sustainability
Help reduce the size of UofT’s environmental footprint! We’re working to ban bottled water on campus, support campus agriculture, encourage the University to invest its money ethically, and help UofT set real targets for emissions reductions.
