Academic & Student Rights Commission
Do you care about the quality of your in-class experience? Think that students’ rights are important? This group is the one to get involved with if you want to make a difference on campus and help to build a stronger, empowered community. We’re especially looking for researchers, committee reps, writers, and designers, but everyone is needed!
Campus Life Commission
As a Commission trying to build a social community, Campus Life aims to create a safe and inclusive atmosphere for all students. This Commission organises events and campaigns addressing diverse interests and student life issues, like Orientation, Homecoming, Halloweed, Unity Through Diversity, Winterfest, and trips to various sporting events. Join us for this opportunity to shape the social calendar.
Community Action Commission
Do you think education is a right and not a privilege? Concerned about corporate attacks on the right to affordable and quality education, health, transit and other public services? Join the Community Action Commission to meet like-minded students. Be the change you want to see in the world.
Social Justice & Equity Commission
This Commission advocates on issues like ableism, ageism, racism, sexism, queerphobia, transphobia, islamophobia, classism, and eurocentrism; advocates for the rights of marginalized members of our community; and ensures the University addresses discrimination and oppression in their overt, subvert, systemtemic and individual forms.
Sustainability Commission
Help reduce the size of UofT’s environmental footprint! We’re working to ban bottled water on campus, support campus agriculture, encourage the University to invest its money ethically, and help UofT set real targets for emissions reductions.
